It is an indie band formed by 4 local boys in July 2004. We are : The frontman, also the bassist is CK, who has been playing music since adolescence. Lone is the guitarist, who is still a university student. Another guitarist is Hong, and together with H.S. the drummer, both are just 19-year-old. We had won the 2nd runner up in warehouse teenage band competition 2004 and also the 2nd runner, best vocal in Yamaha Asian beat band competition 2004 (Hong Kong) ,
Why we chose Zhou Kou Dian as the name of our band?
Frankly, the name just suddenly come up in mind when we were thinking to name our band. The name itself is not related to any history of China or the real Zhou Kou Dian in Beijing.
To talk about our music, we actually like all kinds of music. We have various taste of music and our music is just the accumulation of what we like, it contains stuffs like Sad core, Trip Hop, Post Rock, Alternative Pop / Rock, etc. Our influences include Calexico, Mogwai, Arab Strap, Air, Explosions In The Sky, The Cooper Temple Clause, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Labradford, The Cure, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Mazzy Star, etc.
