The Hurricane

Every hurricane is unique and so is every song of The Hurricane − they are unmatched.
Apart from rocking our audiences, we hope that our songs bear the uniqueness that can touch every heart and soul.
We got inspired by the trivia around us and aim to inspire others positively through the language of music.
Ahvia (Guitarist), Angela (Vocalist) and Felix (Keyboardist) first met in the summer of 2005.
Later, The Hurricane was born after the addition of other musicians, including Jan (Bassist), as well as Samson (Drummer).
We were awarded Merit in the "Hong Kong Teenage Band Competition 2006",
Champion in the "Hong Kong Caritas Power Performance Band Competition 2008 (Original Composition Group)”,
In 2009, the band was voted by the members of The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups as "My Favorite Band" in the "All Youngster Band Competition 2009".
The first original CD Album will be release by August 2010, stay tuned and we hope to see you in our coming shows!

Quasar

Quasar was well hidden in the misty mountains of Nepal before it finally rose to shine on the sky of struggling Hong Kong Music Scene. The former front man of the Nepalese Band The Boffins'98,Singer/Guitarist,Sanjeev Gurung is the core of Quasar, as well as the principal songwriter of the band, who has been described as "a Nepalese version of Bruce Springsteen with the angst of Bob Dylan."
Originally a solo act during his early days in Hong Kong,Sanjeev then decided to build up a full band to maximize the impact of his epic stories and soaring melodies. With the help of Chris.B.,queen of the Hong Kong Underground music showcase, Sanjeev found bassist/lyricist Ben Bair who had recently arrived from the U.S.after a stint with indie band Fellaheen. After a few line-up changes,Quasar hooked up with Sarad Shrestha, former lead guitarist of popular Nepalese rock band The Axe,and Alexander Bedwell,a script writer by profession, from the U.K.,as a drummer.
Despite full-time jobs, families and fans more used to irony than sincerity in popular music,Quasar gradually fused together rock styles from the 60's through the present to form their own combustible brand of "Revolutionary Rock".After performing throughout Hong Kong and recording two songs on Chris.B.'s Underground Compilation 2-Straight Ahead...Back to Roots, Quasar knew it was time to take the show on the road.
Check Quasar out and discover that truth, love, hope and fun all have a place in Rock 'n' Roll.

The Merriweather Deer
The Merriweather Deer is a product of unoccupied time and access to the technology of home-studio recording these days. Birthed by guitarist - Ephraim Bano (The Lovesong/ Whence he came), he started writing songs in 2006 and sent them to his friend and keyboardist, Gideon So (Noughts and Exes) as a side project. Hoping that someday the songs would face the light of day and be performed live, they recently enlisted good friends - Lee Yat Ding (The Lovesong/Take Bad from the Good), Don Cruz (Audiotraffic) and Glenn Bogador (Shepherds The Weak), who all happened to be familiar faces in the HK music scene circuit to join in the ride. Drawing heavy influences from the timeless sounds of groups such as: The Smiths, U2 and The Beatles, to more up to date bands like Broken Social Scene, Interpol, Blonde Redhead, etc − they shape melody based and guitar driven songs that are accessible to any listener. The Merriweather Deer consists of: Ephraim Bano (vocals/guitar), Gideon So (keys/melodica), Don Cruz (guitar), Glenn Bogador (bass) and Lee Yat Ding (drums).
